1. Moon (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I hesitate to say that Moon signals a new director with a lot of promise. If I refer to Duncan Jones as “promising”, that may leave the impression that Moon only partially succeeds. That’s not the case; it’s a perfectly satisfying film in its own right, not just one that hints at cinematic talent. The DVD provides decent to good picture as well as a surp

2. Seeking Justice (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A thriller in the Hitchcock vein, Seeking Justice delivers a pretty entertaining experience. While it never quite excels, it does enough right to keep the viewer with it. The DVD provides good picture and audio but lacks substantial supplements. This seems like a rental for those with a taste for thrillers. Starring Nicolas Cage, January Jones. Anchor Ba

3. Unknown [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With an intriguing plot, Unknown could’ve offered a fun update on Hitchcock. However, the storyline becomes confused and illogical, and that tends to drag down the entire enterprise. The Blu-ray gives us excellent visuals and solid audio but it lacks substantial supplements. Though I like the presentation, I can’t recommend this plodding attempt at a thr

4. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (Steelbook) [4K UHD] (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade does not live up to the heights of Raiders of the Lost Ark, it definitely tops Temple of Doom, and it finishes the 1980s trilogy well. The movie boasts wonderful interactions between its lead actors and seems quite entertaining and enjoyable. Starring Harrison Ford, Sean Connery. Paramount, $30.99, 8/16/2022.

5. Where the Crawdads Sing [Blu-Ray] (2022)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though it uses the backdrop of a thriller, Where the Crawdads Sing mostly delivers sappy melodrama. Despite some potentially intriguing twists, the movie feels trite and devoid of any drama or creativity. Starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Taylor John Smith. Sony, $38.99, 9/13/2022.

6. Ferris Bueller's Day Off: Bueller Bueller Edition (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Perhaps the fact I’m not wild about Ferris Bueller’s Day Off makes me a traitor to my generation. The film certainly has maintained a big audience over the last two decades. I just never got a whole lot out of it, as I find it to provide sporadic entertainment and not much more. Starring Matthew Broderick, Alan Ruck, Mia Sara. Paramount, $19.99, 1/10/200

7. The Mask of Zorro [Blu-Ray] (1998)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Mask of Zorro isn’t a classic film, but I felt it provided a fun and exciting affair. It benefited from good acting and some solid action pieces that helped compensate for a mildly generic quality. The Blu-ray offers very strong picture and sound, and it adds a smattering of decent supplements crowned by an excellent audio commentary. Starring Antoni

8. Santa's Magical Stories (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With a price of less than $30, Stories delivers a heck of a value… if you don’t already own the various specials. Virtually everything here has already been released, so many fans will have purchased the same shows in the past. If that doesn’t include you, however, this is a great deal, as it contains hours of fun entertainment at a low price. Warner, $2

10. Inferno [Blu-Ray] (2016)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As the newest entry in the Robert Langdon series, Inferno provides decent entertainment. While the movie sputters at times, it usually delivers a fair amount of excitement – even if logic occasionally suffers. Starring Tom Hanks, Felicity Jones. Sony, $34.99, 1/24/2017.
